Almost Spring Break

Almost spring break. One more day.

but still some things due tomorrow...beloved essay (haven't started yet @____@), comparative government reading on Iran, hmm, biology lab?

so i didnt go on the band trip this year..EVERYONE's asking me why. i've had to explain this like...a bajillion times.

anyways, it didn't really want to go anyways, and it costed $750, which is affordable but still too much. also, i'm going to atlanta this spring break, from saturday till maybe tuesday. we went to orlando 2 years ago, and it was pretty fun, but this year its just costs way too much.

so since i hve nothing to do during band (3rd pd), and also 4th pd during music theory, i jsut wandered around the school today for like 3 hours. stayed in econ w/ some friends for 3rd period, and then went to the media center and 2nd and 4th lunch for 4th pd.

ahhh MIT decisions come out in 2 days!!!

Tibet exiles protest Beijing Olympics??

CNN

So, apparently Tibetan exiles in India wanted to do a protest march to Tibet to commemorate the day of the failed Tibetan uprising in China decades ago. But then, India's like "no. we'd rather you didnt."

So they stopped.

"India, which has been sympathetic to the Tibetan exiles in the past, has clamped down on such protests in recent years, fearing they could embarrass Beijing and damage burgeoning ties between the Asian giants."

"In Katmandu, police fired tear gas and beat up hundreds of Tibetans who threw bricks and stones at the police, officials said. At least 10 of the protesters were detained, said a police official who asked not to be named because he was not authorized to speak to the media."

Uh oh, Nepalese and Indian governments starting to crack down on Tibetan rebels...

Anyways, I'm not Tibetan, so I can't really speak for Tibetans, so I'm done.

MIT decisions this Saturday....I'll be leaving for Atlanta in the morning...so I found someone to check for me ;P A secret someone. A manchurian candidate.

Anyways, today we lost our trial to Hammond. They were talking so slowlyyyyyy. It was like being in two different timezones. omg. they could not talk. May...it...please...the....c-...court. @_______@ Lost by two points. RHHS, who beat us also, also lost to them. Eh, but our team did seem a little off today.
