The Fake Olympics?
The Fake Olympics
Kevin Bao sent me this link.
lip synching? both girls said they were just happy that they could contribute.
fake fireworks? for only the footprint ones, 1 the sky was too hazy to see them 2 they didnt want helicopters flying close to them to film them
underage gymnasts? no proof, but they srsly look 13 or somethin xD
fake weather? cloud seeding doesnt make weather "fake"
false promises? oh plz. like other countries don't have their own problems.

News Update?
Part of Olympic display altered in broadcast
This was just hilarious. Apparently not everything they showed on tv was exactly what happened. the feet-shaped fireworks were "enhanced"...they were animated on the computer, and broadcast worldwide as the actual footage. The tv screens inside the bird's nest even broadcast the altered version. 嗨把我们都混了xD
Schools' peanut bans spark backlash
[Lisa Searles was shocked at how mad parents got in April 2007, when she asked the board of
education in Seymour, Conn., to ban peanut butter at her son's elementary school.
“People were extremely rude,” she said. “They just thought it was a ridiculous request.”]
Pfft. that is a ridiculous request. selfish too. even the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network thinks bans are not right; it's “not teaching children how to grow up in the real world.”
Rise of the Sea Turtles: Why Westernized Chinese Dislike the West
...interesting article.
Anyways, just to sum up some sentiments:
-western media is often biased against china
-chinese ppl are fine with their govt. 80% approval rating. and no, they dont approve the govt bc otherwise theyll get their arms chopped off. >[
-the u.s. can be pretty hypocritical. maybe the u.s. should stop complaining abt china and darfur, and meditate on its own dealings with saudi arabia in the past.
-louise macbain was a journalist who actually lived in tibet, unlike prolly 90% of the protesters for free tibet. she says she sees no oppression, and many of the ppl are happy, and that the west needs to stop listening to what the media feeds them. many protesters were prolly ppl who were hurt by the govt decades ago, times have changed.
-you can always trust newsweek's fareed zakaria for THE RIGHT INFORMATION. =)

What a load of horse-shit. You’re complaining about lip-syncing, ‘fake’ weather, and athletes who are “probably” underage (providing no proof whatsoever) while real issues are being discussed elsewhere by reasonable adults?
How about elaborating on your final and only discussion-worthy topic of poverty instead of whining about hearsay and petty bullshit like computer-rendered fireworks? Honestly, should we care if the little girl singing the anthem is lip-syncing? You call that “one of the most shocking deceptions yet”? What a waste of space.
